Amazon Accelerate 2026: 7 Seller Changes and What to Do About Each

Amazon's seller news from Accelerate week, September 2026: Seller Assistant workflows that watch stock, prices and ratings and wait for your approval before acting, your Amazon data in Claude (US beta), a free year of Amazon Quick Plus, eBay, Shopify, TikTok and Walmart orders in Seller Central (rolling out to US sellers), and 2 Sponsored ads tools coming to the US in October 2026 and January 2027. What each means and what to do, with every source.

Amazon Accelerate 2026, AMAZON SELLERS

You sell on Amazon, Shopify and Walmart. That is 3 order screens, 3 logins and 3 places to check before you pack a box. Amazon is bringing them into one screen: Seller Central, the site where you run your Amazon store. It is rolling out gradually to US sellers, at no extra cost, so it may not be in your account yet.

What changed, and who it applies to. Amazon published its seller news during Accelerate week, its annual seller conference in Seattle, September 22 to 24, 2026. Each item has its own scope. The AI workflows have no country or rollout date from Amazon. The Claude plugin is a beta for sellers in Amazon's US stores. The free Quick Plus year is open to every primary account holder, globally. The multichannel tools are rolling out to US sellers. The 2 new Sponsored ads tools (the ads you pay for inside Amazon's store) are coming to US advertisers in October 2026 and January 2027, and are not live yet.

Below are the 7 changes, in the same order as our carousel. Every claim is Amazon's, from its own posts, except 2 lines from Marketplace Pulse, a trade publication, which are labeled. Where the reasoning is ours, it says "Our read".

Carousel slide: you sell on Amazon, Shopify and Walmart. That's 3 order screens. Soon, one screen: Seller Central. Amazon says it is rolling out gradually to US sellers, at no extra cost.

Amazon Accelerate 2026, AMAZON SELLERS

1. It keeps watch while you're away

Date and source: September 23, 2026. About Amazon, by Mary Beth Westmoreland, VP, Worldwide Selling Partner Experience.

What changed. Seller Assistant is Amazon's built-in AI helper for sellers. Amazon: “Today, we’re introducing Seller Assistant workflows: custom automations that run continuously, monitoring conditions, interpreting changes, and responding dynamically, even when the seller isn’t logged in to Seller Central.” You describe the job in plain language and set guardrails, meaning the limits it has to stay inside. One of Amazon's examples: “Alert me if any of my top 10 products drop below a 4-star rating and draft a response plan.” There are prebuilt templates that “monitor account health, summarize orders, analyze pricing trends, and find product expansion opportunities”.

What it means for you. Our read: a check you do by hand can become a standing job.

Try this. Start 1 prebuilt workflow, like account health, set to only recommend.

2. You approve every move

Date and source: September 23, 2026. About Amazon.

What changed. For each workflow, you choose how far it goes. Amazon: “For any workflow, prebuilt or custom, sellers choose whether it just surfaces recommendations or takes actions on their behalf. When it takes actions, sellers stay in control, reviewing and approving them before they're carried out.” And: “Every action is logged with a complete audit trail.” An audit trail is a record of every step, so you can see later what it did and when.

What it means for you. It doesn't act without your OK. Amazon hasn't listed which types of guardrails you can set. Our read: the limits are yours to decide, so decide them before the first request to approve arrives.

Try this. Write down your price floor and restock limit before you let one act.

Carousel slide: for each workflow, you choose: it only recommends, or it also acts. When it acts, you review and approve each action before it's carried out. Every action is logged. Try this: write down your price floor and restock limit before you let one act.
Seller Assistant waits for your approval before each action.

3. Your Amazon data, inside Claude

Date and source: September 23, 2026. About Amazon. US beta.

What changed. A new plugin connects your Amazon sales, inventory and listings to Amazon Quick, Amazon's AI work app, and to Anthropic's Claude. It can act as well as read, with your approval. Amazon: “The selling partner plugin is now available in beta for sellers in Amazon's U.S. stores, with international expansion to follow.” Inside Quick, Amazon says, “Quick shows what it intends to do and waits for approval before acting.”

What it means for you. Amazon says international expansion will follow. For now, it is a beta and it is for Amazon's US stores.

Try this. Ask it one question you'd normally answer from a spreadsheet.

4. A free year of Amazon Quick Plus

Date and source: September 23, 2026. About Amazon.

What changed. Amazon says “every primary account holder globally can sign up for a free 12-month Amazon Quick Plus subscription, available through December 31, 2026.” And: “Primary account holders can also designate two additional co-workers to receive a free year of Quick Plus at no extra cost.” So that is 12 months free for you and 2 co-workers, if you sign up by December 31, 2026.

What it means for you. The free offer is Quick Plus. Claude isn't part of it, and nothing in Amazon's post makes Claude free.

Try this. Claim it now and add the co-worker who does your reporting.

5. 4 more channels, 1 order screen

Date and source: September 24, 2026. About Amazon.

What changed. “Sellers can connect their eBay, Shopify, TikTok, and Walmart accounts to Seller Central, with more channels coming.” Once connected, you can import and link those listings, see all your orders in one place and fulfill (pack and ship) orders across channels. Amazon: “The new experience is rolling out gradually to sellers in the U.S. store, with more capabilities and more channels expanding in the coming months.” It comes “at no additional cost to sellers”.

What it means for you. Amazon says a profit and ad spend view across channels will come later: “Multichannel selling tools will give sellers a clear, real-time picture of how much they're earning from each product, across every channel.” Marketplace Pulse, a trade publication, notes the tools “earn Amazon nothing directly” and adds: “For sellers, the risk is deeper dependence on a channel that the Seller Index shows many are working to rely on less.”

Try this. Look in the Settings menu for the multichannel settings page.

6. Campaigns that explain themselves

Date and source: Coming October 2026. Amazon Ads, September 22, 2026, which says the tools were announced at Accelerate.

What changed. A dashboard will suggest fixes for your Sponsored ads campaigns, each explained with its likely impact. Amazon Ads: “Each action is explained with visuals illustrating likely impact, and advertisers can apply, edit, or skip each action. This intelligence dashboard will be available to all sponsored ads advertisers in the United States in October 2026.”

What it means for you. It isn't live yet. Each fix stays your call: you apply, edit or skip it.

Try this. Note the 3 campaigns you'd want explained first.

7. Keywords that tune themselves

Date and source: Coming January 2027. Amazon Ads, September 22, 2026.

What changed. Auto-optimization will add keywords (the search terms your ads show up for), pause weak ones and widen product targeting. In Amazon's words, it “adds relevant keywords and pauses underperforming ones”, “all within the advertiser’s existing campaign settings.” And: “Advertisers can see how each action performs and edit or reverse actions at any time, helping them spend less time on ongoing optimization while staying in control.” Timing: “Auto-optimization will be available to advertisers in the United States in January 2027.”

Amazon's own beta result: “In beta testing, campaigns that adopted keyword auto-optimization saw a first sale 40% faster and a 13% increase in sales.” That's Amazon's figure, with no comparison group given, and the campaigns chose to use it.

What it means for you. This one works differently from Seller Assistant. It will make the change itself, and you can reverse it afterward. Our read: it works inside your settings, so tidy them first.

Try this. Before January, check the settings on your biggest campaigns.

Carousel slide: auto-optimization will add keywords, pause weak ones and widen product targeting, inside your campaign settings. You can reverse any change. It comes to US advertisers in January 2027.
Coming January 2027, US. It acts first; you can reverse any change.

Also live now. Amazon Ads says: “Ads data manager expansion to sponsored ads is available now to all advertisers, globally.” It lets you bring your own customer data, like an email list, into Amazon Ads and use it with Sponsored ads.

What to do this week

  1. Run 1 workflow set to only recommend and read what it suggests for 2 weeks.
  2. Claim the free Quick Plus year before December 31.
  3. Check Seller Central Settings for the multichannel settings page.

Ads dashboard: October. Auto-optimization: January, and it makes changes you can reverse later.

Our read: Amazon's AI is taking on routine seller work. Seller Assistant waits for your approval; auto-optimization makes changes you can reverse. Start with recommendations, write down your limits, and let it earn the right to act.

What the company did not say

How to claim the free Quick Plus year, or what Quick Plus includes. Amazon's post gives neither.

Where to turn workflows on, or which limits you can set. Amazon lists no guardrail types and gives no country or rollout date for workflows. We could not find a public help page.

How to install the Claude plugin, or which Claude plans work with it. We found no Anthropic page about the plugin. Amazon announced it; Anthropic did not.

That Seller Assistant sends your data to Anthropic. It says the opposite. Amazon says Seller Assistant runs on Claude models through Amazon's own cloud service and “keeps seller data within Amazon’s infrastructure and never shares it outside of Amazon.” Connecting the plugin to your own Claude account is a separate choice you make.

Whether the 40% and 13% would hold up against campaigns that did not use auto-optimization. Amazon gives no comparison group.

An official Accelerate recap. Of Amazon's own posts, only the Amazon Ads post names Accelerate in its text. Amazon Ads' own event, unBoxed, is separate: September 28 to 30, San Francisco.
